Terry Muse, the owner of NutHouseScraps.com asked me to help her put a ZenCart into her new e-commerce website. She had a fairly long list of additions and custom coding work to make it deliver exactly what she wanted to her members.

She picked out ZenCart because she was already familiar with how the front end and administration worked. And this time, I provide the back end skills to get it up and running for her, and to keep it that way.

As we tackled the project, I realized they also were going to need new copy for all the new things they were adding. There had been precious little space for descriptions and marketing copy in their first website.

Using the same images their photographer took for the print catalog, I moved the website into a database-driven shopping cart, gave several sized views of every item, and had some fun writing the copy for these very fun retro items. The new streamlined interface was easy on the eyes and much easier for customers to use.

What’s their best selling feature? You mean besides the old-fashioned classic pedal rides? It’s FREE SHIPPING to the continental US. And that’s no small thing when you’re shipping steel pedal cars.
